Anonymous asked: Do you have any tips for doing a pin up girl style?
First off, I’m incredibly sorry for not answering your post earlier. As Zoe indicated, I was on holidays! I’ve been on holidays quite a bit this summer, so I apologize for not answering this sooner.
Secondly, I’m not entirely well versed in the pin up girl style. I’m not much of a fan of it. It’s a little too bold for me. I’ll try my best to help you out though!
Depending on what we’re talking about here, pin up girl style clothing is typically pretty conservative. We’re talking high waists and long skirts and very, very tight pieces of clothing. Bold colored skin tight tops are always a must, make sure you can tuck them into your high waisted jeans! Skirts are definitely below the knee but they are skin tight. Plaid, gingham and florally tops are typical sights in pin up girl style.
For shoes, go low heels or even pointed toe flats. Canvas lace up shoes or, if you’re going for that modern twist, white TOMs are totally appropriate.
As for make up and hair, big poofs and loose curls tend to be the norm. Try also pin waves and curls in your hair to give it that sixties look and also, the best part of pin up girl style? RED JUICY LIPS! That’s the signature look of a pin up girl!
I hope that helped. I’m so sorry for not getting to you quicker! Sketchy wifi tends to stop one from responding as quickly as normal.
Good luck!
